EU's Von der Leyen backs Zelenskiy's call for ceasefire with Russia

​European ​Commission ‌President Ursula von der ​Leyen fully ‌supported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's call for a ‌ceasefire with Russia, ‌the European Commission said in a statement ⁠on ​Sunday.

The ⁠EU will discuss funding ⁠needs for Ukraine ​at its next meeting, including ⁠provision of further ⁠funding ​for drones and missiles to ⁠strengthen Ukraine's defences, the ⁠statement ⁠said.
