Germany's Merz to visit three Asian countries next week

​German Chancellor ‌Friedrich Merz plans ​to visit Japan, ‌South Korea and Singapore from Monday until Friday ‌next week, a ‌government spokesperson said on Friday. "We share with all ⁠three ​countries ⁠a commitment to open, rule-based ⁠trade and a ​desire to strengthen economic ⁠resilience and security, particularly with ⁠regard ​to global supply chains," said the ⁠spokesperson during a press ⁠conference.
