Mohamed Abdullahi ‘Farmajo’ reaches Addis Ababa to meet Abiy Ahmed

President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed 'Farmajo' has reached Ethiopia's capital city, Addis Ababa on Tuesday, March 5. He has been by welcomed by Ethiopia's Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa.

Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed 'Farmajo' will be meeting Abiy Ahmed to discuss matters related to bilateral and regional issues, as the state media EBC reported. "The visit has come as part of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed's initiative for regional peace and security and economic integration in the Horn of Africa region," the Prime Minister's Office noted.

However, we still don't know whether or not the current discussion will include conditions for a possible meeting with leader of Somaliland (a self-declared state, internationally considered to be an autonomous region of Somalia).
