Golden State guard Klay Thompson will miss his second straight game due to right knee soreness when the Warriors host the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night, according to multiple reports. Thompson banged his knee hard on the floor in Thursday's loss to the Orlando Magic.
An MRI exam Friday came back clean, but Thompson was held out of Saturday's victory against the Philadelphia 76ers. Thompson, 29, is averaging 22.0 points and 3.9 rebounds and shooting 39.6 per cent from 3-point range in his eighth season with the Warriors.
The five-time All-Star started 61 of Golden State's first 62 games this season.
