China and the United States on Friday discussed "relevant agreement documents" and made new progress in their trade talks, state news agency Xinhua said on Friday, as the two countries work to end a bitter trade war. The brief report came after Chinese Vice Premier Liu He met with U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in Beijing for one day of talks.
