Strong quake hits Philippines: USGS

Manila, Apr 22 (AFP) A strong 6.3 magnitude earthquake shook buildings in downtown Manila on Monday afternoon, the US Geological Survey said. The quake struck at 5.11pm local time at a shallow depth of 40 kilometres (25 miles), prompting the evacuation of central offices. (AFP)
