Mike Pompeo again slated to visit Germany in May after his scheduled cancelled trip

U.S. Secretary of State and the American politician and attorney, Mike Pompeo will visit Berlin on May 31, 2019, according to the latest updates.

Earlier this month, Mike Pompeo's scheduled trip to Germany was cancelled but no such official reason was provided in support of the cancellation. Only the reason "international security issues" was cited by the U.S. administration behind the cancellation of his scheduled trip.

However, according to a German daily newspaper, Tagesspiegel, the 55-year old US State Secretary will be visiting Berlin on the last day of this month. The U.S. embassy in Berlin and the German foreign ministry were not immediately available for comment.

Mike Pompeo was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2017, representing Kansas's 4th congressional district. The U.S. President Donald Trump nominated him as Secretary of State in March last year.
