UK minister Hammond warns leadership candidates over tax cuts, deregulation

British finance minister Philip Hammond will on Thursday warned Conservative Party leadership candidates against basing their pitches on tax cuts and deregulation, a source at the finance ministry said.

Hammond will make the remarks at the launch of a report on low pay at the Resolution Foundation, the source said.
