Reports: Free agent C McGee to meet with Rockets

Free agent center JaVale McGee intends to meet with the Houston Rockets after free agency opens on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET, according to Yahoo's Chris Haynes. The Rockets are in the market for a center after Nene reportedly declined his $3.8 million option for next season on Saturday.
McGee played last season for the Los Angeles Lakers, making 75 appearances (62 starts) and averaging 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. The 6-foot-11 Nene averaged 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 42 games (two starts) last season.
McGee, 31, entered the league as a first-round pick (18th overall) by the Washington Wizards in 2008. He has also played for the Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks. He earned $2.4 million last season with the Lakers.
