UK's Hunt tells China to honour agreement over Hong Kong

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt told China that it needed to honour and respect the agreement the countries had made over Hong Kong, as London and Beijing kept up a war of words over the former British colony.

"Message to Chinese govt: good relations between countries are based on mutual respect and honouring the legally binding agreements between them," Hunt said on Twitter.

"That is the best way to preserve the great relationship between the UK and China."
