Nepal-India relations moving to newer heights: Gyawali

Nepal's Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Monday said India-Nepal relations were moving to newer heights with high-level visits from both countries. Speaking to media persons here ahead of the 5th India-Nepal Joint Commission meeting, Gyawali said prime ministers of both countries have clear blueprints regarding the future course of bilateral actions.
India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is scheduled to visit Nepal this week to participate in the fifth meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission from August 21 to 22. Jaishankar will co-chair the meeting with Gyawali. Gyawali said the joint commission will discuss Indo-Nepal relations with a focus on connectivity, energy, freight, irrigation, flood management, among other things.
When asked about the developments in Kashmir, Gyawali said Nepal was optimistic that the situation would be settled smoothly.
