The authorities have destroyed 977 cartons of illicit liquor worth Rs 40 lakh in Shamli district, officials said on Friday
The liquor was seized during the 2016-2017 financial year by the district excise department, they said
According to sub divisional magistrate Sandeep Kumar, the liquor was destroyed on Thursday.
