Robbers strike at pharmacy in south Delhi, flee with cash

Two persons robbed cash from a pharmacy in south Delhi after holding the salesman at knife-point on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The incident took place in Chirag Delhi area and was reported at the Malviya Nagar police station around 3.30 pm, they said.
The pharmacy employee, Raisen, told police that the duo came to the shop around 3 pm and asked for sleeping pills, a senior police officer said.
When Raisen refused, one of the accused held him at knife-point while the other took out Rs 3,500 from the cash register, he said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Atul Kumar Thakur said a case was registered and one of the accused, who claims to be a minor, has been apprehended in connection with the robbery.
The age of the apprehended accused is being verified. He is a resident of Ambedkar Nagar and disclosed the name of his accomplice during questioning, the police said.
Multiple teams are working to apprehend his associate, they added.
