Georgian police use tear gas against protesters angry over 'foreign agents' law

Georgian police used tear gas on Tuesday to disperse thousands of protesters in central Tbilisi after parliament gave its initial backing to a "foreign agents" law, a Reuters witness said.

Critics say the law represents an authoritarian shift in the South Caucasus country.
