U.S. in process of repatriating remains of two Americans killed in Mexico

Two U.S. citizens kidnapped by gunmen on Friday after they drove into northeast Mexico have returned to the United States, the State Department said on Tuesday, adding that the United States is in the process of repatriating the remains of two Americans killed in the same incident.

The investigation is in its earliest days, State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters, adding that the FBI may have more to share at the appropriate time.
