U.S. ambassador says he corrected 'misimpressions' in call with South Africa's foreign minister

U.S. Ambassador to South Africa Reuben Brigety said he had spoken to Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor on Friday "to correct any misimpressions left by my public remarks" after Brigety leveled accusations that a Russian ship had picked up weapons in South Africa last year.

"In our conversation, I re-affirmed the strong partnership between our two countries & the important agenda our Presidents have given us," Brigety said on Twitter.
