Annecy knife attack assailant is Syrian refugee - police

A man who attacked a group of children in a park in Annecy is a Syrian national with legal refugee status in France, a police official told Reuters.

Police also revised the injuries tally. Two children and one adult are in life-threatening condition, while two children are slightly hurt, they said. Earlier reports spoke of up to eight children injured.
