Gold worth over Rs 2 crore seized from passenger at Guwahati airport

A Kolkata-bound passenger was arrested with 6.5 kg of gold worth over Rs 2 crore during a routine security check at the Lokopriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport here on Sunday, police said.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel during a routine security check of the luggage recovered the gold bars from the passenger.

The man was identified as Lalthila Liana, who hailed from Aizawl in Mizoram. Further investigations were on, the police added.
