Dr. Samuel Undenge, Zimbabwe’s former Energy and Power Development Minister has been acquitted on December 10 on the criminal of abuse of office charges. The charges against him were related to an alleged influence in the awarding of the Gwanda Solar Power Project deal with Wicknell Chivayo.

The trial of former ICT and Cyber Security Minister and Nyanga South legislator Supa Mandiwanzira has been postponed to the 18th of December after the defence raised concern over the late submission of papers by the state, Report Focus News noted.

Samuel Undenge lost his job after a military coup that ousted former President Robert Mugabe last November. He was accused of handpicking a public relations company for the Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) without going to tender.
