The International Monetary Fund is seeing the use of crypto currencies to evade sanctions, while geopolitical tensions have caused shifts in foreign direct investments, IMF First Deputy Managing Director Gita Gopinath said on Friday.

"We are seeing the use of cypto to avoid sanctions, but we're also seeing that good kinds of capital flows are reacting" to rising geopolitical tensions, Gopinath told a panel at the spring meetings of the IMF and the World Bank.
