SVR Alleges Western Elites Behind Failed Assassination of Slovakian PM
Russia's SVR intelligence service claims that 'globalist totalitarian-liberal elites' orchestrated the failed assassination attempt on Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico. The agency suggests the motive was to intimidate nationalists and alleges that the West is now diverting blame onto a lone gunman.
Russia's SVR foreign intelligence service said on Wednesday that "globalist totalitarian-liberal elites" were behind the failed attempt to assassinate Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico this month, the RIA news agency reported.
The SVR said the move was aimed at intimidating those who hold dissenting views and act in the interests of their nations, and the West was now trying to cover up the crime by blaming it on a lone gunman.
