Tragic Dowry Death: Young Woman Found Hanging in In-Laws' Home

A 21-year-old woman was found hanging at her in-laws' house in Nautanwa, raising suspicions of foul play linked to dowry demands, police reported on Monday.

The victim, identified as Anjali Yadav, married Ganesh Yadav nearly three years ago. Anjali was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in a room at her in-laws' residence on Sunday night. A police team promptly arrived on the scene and moved her body to a local hospital for a postmortem exam, according to Circle Officer (Nautanwa) Jai Prakash Tripathi.

Her family has alleged she was murdered by her husband and his parents over dowry disputes. Authorities have registered a case of dowry death and are investigating. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the postmortem results.
