Navi Mumbai Woman Withdraws Stalking Complaint Against Former Lover

A 25-year-old Navi Mumbai-based woman, who initially lodged a complaint against her former lover for stalking her, later refused to pursue the case and sign the FIR. The woman, pressured by her family, made a supplementary statement retracting her complaint.

A 25-year-old Navi Mumbai woman initially filed a complaint against her ex-lover for allegedly stalking her but later withdrew the complaint, an official said Tuesday.

The woman, a software engineer from Gotivali Gaon in Rabale, had accused a 30-year-old man from the same village of stalking her around 10.30 PM on June 3. The case was registered under IPC section 354D.

Despite citing family pressure as the reason for lodging the complaint, the woman later told police she had no complaints against the accused. She refused to sign the FIR and did not cooperate further with the authorities, said a Rabale police station official.
