The Arunachal Pradesh Police accomplished a significant victory in the battle against drug trafficking, arresting two notorious inter-state drug peddlers and confiscating a massive 348.58 grams of heroin valued at Rs 42 lakh, officials reported on Tuesday.
Capital Region, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Rajbir Singh detailed that officers conducted a successful raid on the residence of one Urgen Dorjee, which resulted in the seizure of 65 grams of heroin.
Further investigation led to the apprehension of Manipuri youth Tithai Pou Golmei (28), who was found in possession of 283.58 grams of heroin in the Lower Vivek Vihar area. Both suspects are habitual offenders, with investigations continuing under the NDPS Act.
