The Mohali Police have charged Constable Kulwinder Kaur under sections 323 and 341 of the IPC. An FIR was lodged following a complaint from CISF.

In a video statement, Ranaut alleged that the constable hit her due to disagreements over her comments on farmer protests. The accused constable has been suspended, and a detailed inquiry has been initiated.
