Officials Arrested in Cooperative Society Fraud Case

Two officials from Dnyanradha Cooperative Multi-State Credit Society in Beed, Maharashtra, have been arrested for allegedly cheating depositors. Chairman Suresh Kute and joint director Ashish Patodekar were apprehended by Beed police following a farmer's complaint regarding an unpaid fixed deposit. The investigation is ongoing.

Two officials from the Dnyanradha Cooperative Multi-State Credit Society in Beed, Maharashtra, have been detained on charges of cheating depositors, as confirmed by local police on Friday.

In a Friday morning operation, Beed police arrested Chairman Suresh Kute and Joint Director Ashish Patodekar from Hinjawadi, located near Pune.

A farmer had filed a complaint with Mahjalgaon police in Beed district, alleging that a fixed deposit of approximately Rs 3.5 lakh had not been returned upon maturity. The case is currently under investigation, according to the official.
