The Rajasthan Police's special operations group has taken a significant step in the 2021 sub-inspector recruitment paper leak case, arresting Tulsaram Kaler, the husband of an additional superintendent of police, officials confirmed on Monday.
Kaler, 57, a former sub-inspector whose service was terminated in 1993, was apprehended from the Jaisinghpura area on Sunday. ADG (ATS & SOG) V K Singh stated that Kaler is a key figure in enabling cheating in various recruitment examinations, including the sub-inspector test, leveraging Bluetooth-enabled devices.
Accusations reveal Kaler's longstanding involvement in illicit activities following his termination for looting hawala money while posted in Deedwana, Nagaur. In 1995, he founded a coaching institute in Jodhpur, relocating it to Bikaner in 2006 after marrying Namita Khokhar, who is currently an additional SP at Rajasthan police headquarters.
