Kannada Star Darshan Thoogudeepa Questioned in Murder Case

Leading Kannada film actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was taken into custody on Tuesday in connection with a murder case, according to Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda.

Police sources revealed that Darshan and 13 others are under interrogation concerning the alleged murder of Renukaswamy, whose body was discovered on June 9. Reports suggest that Renukaswamy's derogatory comments on social media about actress Pavithra Gowda, a friend of Darshan, could be linked to the crime.

The 47-year-old actor, known for his roles in films like 'Yajamana' and 'Kariya,' was detained at a Mysuru hotel. Renukaswamy's body was found in a drain in Kamakshipalya, and CCTV footage led to the current detentions. The investigation is ongoing, with police probing whether Darshan's involvement was direct or part of a larger conspiracy.
