On Tuesday, many made a poignant stop at the attack site near Teryath village, raising slogans like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Bharatiya Sena Zindabad' to honor the deceased.

Parmeela Bajaj, part of a 20-member group from Maharashtra, said they learned of the attack through the news but chose to continue their spiritual journey. Their pilgrimage started at the Vaishno Devi Shrine, and they paused to view the bus, now lying in a gorge following the attack.

“Whatever happened was terrible, especially the loss of innocent lives including a two-year-old boy,” Bajaj expressed, while praying for the departed souls.

The terrorists fired on a 53-seater bus traveling from the Shiv Khori temple to Katra, causing it to veer off the road and injure 41 people, after which it plummeted into a deep gorge.

Despite the fear, other devotees like Mangla Mahajan show confidence in the security forces. “We have no fear when it comes to our army; they will track the terrorists and punish them,” she said.

Authorities confirm that there has been no drop in foot traffic to the revered Vaishno Devi shrine. Security measures have been intensified around both the Vaishno Devi and Shiv Khori temples to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

Additional security forces have been deployed along the main roads leading to Shiv Khori, with a comprehensive review conducted following the attack. A massive manhunt, involving police, Army, and CRPF, is ongoing to track down three suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists believed to be responsible.
