Revolutionary Governance Reforms to Continue Under PM Modi's Third Term

Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated that ongoing governance reforms will increase citizen-centricity and ease of living. The third term of the NDA government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to continue the efforts undertaken over the last decade. Key reforms include pensions for widowed and divorced daughters and the Karmayogi Mission.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced on Tuesday that the revolutionary governance reforms initiated in the past decade will persist, focusing on increasing citizen-centricity and ensuring a higher quality of life for every citizen.

Upon taking office as the Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Singh emphasized that the third term of the NDA government would build upon the progress made over the last 10 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

'The last decade has seen a series of significant governance reforms guided by PM Modi, driven by a vision of 'minimum government, maximum governance,' designed to enhance citizen-centricity and ease of living,' Singh, 67, told reporters.

Singh highlighted several reforms including pensions for widowed and divorced daughters, streamlined government operations, and eliminated interviews for certain government positions, aiming to create a level playing field for aspirants from remote areas. He also mentioned administrative reforms and the Karmayogi Mission as landmark initiatives.

He reiterated that the government is committed to continuing people-friendly measures until the 'Mission Viksit Bharat' is achieved, ensuring the path-breaking reforms maintain momentum.

Other officials present included V Srinivas, Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, and S Radha Chauhan, Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training.
