SIT Formed to Investigate Death of BJP MLA's Grandson in Indore

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the death of Vijay Dangi alias Vikas, the 21-year-old grandson of BJP MLA Hajarilal Dangi. Vikas was found dead in a rented house in Indore, with initial investigations suggesting suicide. The SIT will explore all aspects of the case.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been assembled to probe the mysterious death of Vijay Dangi alias Vikas, the 21-year-old grandson of BJP MLA Hajarilal Dangi, in Indore. The body of Vikas, an LLB student, was discovered in a rented house in Gandhi Nagar on May 20. Preliminary reports indicate suicide by poison ingestion.

However, suspicions of 'malicious intention or mental torture' have been raised by the MLA, who has officially requested a thorough investigation. Consequently, Indore Police Commissioner Rakesh Gupta formed a nine-member SIT led by Additional Police Commissioner Rajesh Dandotia to delve into the case.

'We will investigate in detail covering all aspects and submit a report to the police commissioner in one-and-a-half months,' Dandotia informed PTI.
