National security spokesperson John Kirby explained that the U.S. made the 'difficult but necessary' choice to reprioritise its near-term foreign military sales to other countries. While Kirby did not specify which countries would face delays or the exact quantity of shipments affected, he stressed Ukraine's urgent need for these capabilities.
