In Rajasthan's Pali district, local residents staged a protest, blocking the Jaipur-Jodhpur road following the discovery of animal skeletons near a river culvert. Law enforcement authorities noted that the nature of the bones, suspected to belong to cows, prompted the unrest.

Additional Superintendent of Police Vipin Sharma disclosed that the skeletons were found within the jurisdiction of the Kotwali police station in Pali city. A large crowd assembled and impeded traffic on the major road, leading to mild police intervention to clear the blockade.

The skeletons have been dispatched to a veterinary hospital for examination. The species of the animals will be confirmed post-investigation, which will guide subsequent actions, stated ASP Sharma.
