Himachal Pradesh CM Condemns Court Attack, Orders Strict Action

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has condemned the attack on a man inside a court in Bilaspur. The state government vows strict action. The incident involved a shooting at Saurabh Patyal, linked to an earlier attack on Congress leader Bamber Thakur. One assailant has been apprehended.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu labeled the recent violent incident in a Bilaspur court as 'reprehensible' and affirmed that the Himachal Pradesh government will pursue strict measures. The attack, which happened on Thursday, targeted Saurabh Patyal, implicated in an assault on ex-MLA Bamber Thakur.

CM Sukhu vowed not to tolerate such events in the state, instructing the Bilaspur DGP and SP to take rigorous action. He promised that lawbreakers involved would face appropriate legal consequences.

Authorities reported the arrest of Sunny Gill, one of the two motorbike assailants from Punjab, while the search for the second attacker continues.
