Amit Shah Introduces Fast Track Immigration for Indian Nationals and OCI Cardholders

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP), aimed at fast-tracking the immigration process for pre-verified Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. The application process involves online forms, biometrics submission, and verification procedures, enhancing travel convenience and efficiency.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday unveiled the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP), an initiative designed to expedite the immigration process for pre-verified Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders, as stated by an official.

Eligible individuals must apply online, submitting biometrics—fingerprints and facial images—along with other required information. The FTI registration remains valid for up to five years or as long as the passport is valid, whichever is shorter.

Approved applicants will be notified to schedule a biometrics appointment at designated international airports or Foreigners Regional Registration Offices (FRRO). The initiative aims to revolutionize travel experiences, ensuring faster, easier, and more secure processes, highlighting the government's commitment to enhancing travel efficiency and convenience.
