India and Bangladesh Strengthen Ties with Futuristic Vision

India and Bangladesh have set a futuristic vision to enhance cooperation across several sectors, signing key agreements in the maritime, digital, and green domains. Prime Ministers Modi and Hasina discussed advancing ties in trade, connectivity, and energy, emphasizing collaboration for mutual betterment.

In a significant development, India and Bangladesh took steps on Saturday to expand their cooperation across several forward-looking sectors. This move was solidified through a series of agreements, which include bolstering ties in the maritime sphere and the burgeoning blue economy.

The agreements were settled during extensive talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is currently on a bilateral state visit. Discussions also touched on enhancing digital and green partnerships, alongside strengthening railway connectivity.

Addressing the media, PM Modi highlighted the strategic vision aimed at benefiting the youth through green and digital partnerships, as well as the blue economy and space sectors. Meanwhile, PM Hasina noted the unique and historical relationship between the two nations, lauding India's contribution to Bangladesh's independence in 1971.
