Major Fire Engulfs Pathological Laboratory in Thane

A significant fire broke out in a seven-storey building in Thane city, Maharashtra, causing extensive damage to a pathological laboratory. The blaze, which started on the third floor around 7 am, was eventually controlled by fire brigade and disaster management personnel. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

A major fire engulfed a pathological laboratory in Thane city's seven-storey building early Saturday morning, according to civic officials.

The incident, which started around 7 am on the third floor of the building located on Gokhale Road, resulted in no injuries, reports Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Thane Municipal Corporation's regional disaster management cell (RDMC).

Promptly alerted, the fire brigade and RDMC personnel arrived at the scene with three fire engines and managed to extinguish the blaze after two-and-a-half hours of efforts. The laboratory and its equipment were severely damaged in the incident.
