Owaisi Urges BJP to Lift 50% Reservation Cap Amidst OBC-Maratha Tensions

In a bold move, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has demanded that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre take definitive action in the forthcoming Parliamentary session to abolish the 50% ceiling on reservation.

Addressing the issue, the Hyderabad MP expressed concerns via social media, noting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's past claims that reservations for OBC, SC, and ST communities were allegedly threatened by Muslims.

Owaisi lamented the ongoing tensions between OBC and Maratha communities over reservations, arguing that the 50% cap is forcing minorities and backward classes to struggle for limited resources and opportunities. He invoked BJP's electoral slogan, pushing for immediate legislative amendments.
