60-year-old Arrested for Gruesome Murder After Failed Rape Attempt

A 60-year-old man, Kamlesh Patel, was arrested in Ujjain for allegedly murdering a woman after a failed rape attempt. Patel lured the victim, spiked her food, and tried to rape her. Fearing exposure, he killed her, dismembered her body, and disposed of the parts in two trains.

A disturbing crime has shocked Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, where a 60-year-old man named Kamlesh Patel was arrested for the brutal murder of a woman following a failed rape attempt, according to the police.

The incident reportedly began on June 6, when the woman, following a dispute with her husband, found herself at Ujjain railway station intending to travel to Mathura. Patel allegedly lured her to his home, spiked her food with sleeping pills, and attempted to assault her sexually. The woman awoke mid-attempt and raised an alarm, prompting Patel to strangle her out of fear of being caught, said Railway Superintendent of Police Santosh Kori.

Subsequently, Patel dismembered her body and scattered the parts aboard the Indore-Nagda and Indore-Dehradun passenger trains. The gruesome discovery of her dismembered body parts was made on June 9 and 10, respectively, in separate locations, leading to the arrest. Patel is now in custody, and the weapon of the crime and other critical evidence have been retrieved.
