Family Feud Leads to Brutal Murder of Jharkhand Couple

Six individuals, including the victim's father, were arrested for the grisly murder of a couple in Jharkhand. The killings were driven by caste-related anger and a failed civil services aspiration. Police have gathered substantial evidence against the accused.

In a horrifying incident in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district, six individuals, including the victim's father, have been arrested for the brutal killing of a young couple. The local police disclosed the details this past Sunday.

Among those arrested are Ishwar Mehta (59) and his younger son Bablu, accused of orchestrating and executing the murder of Ishwar's elder son Rahul Kumar (30) and his wife Puja Yadav (28) on the night of June 15-16, according to Superintendent of Police Arvind Kumar Singh.

The incident stems from a deep-seated family dispute. Rahul had moved to Delhi years ago to prepare for the civil services exam, where he met and fell in love with Puja Yadav, hailing from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. They moved back to Rahul's ancestral village Korha in Hazaribag, where they ran a coaching center.
