Tragic Toy Train Ride: Boy's Death at Mall Raises Safety Concerns

A tragic incident at Elante Mall has left the local community in shock, as a 10-year-old boy died after the compartment of a toy train he was riding in overturned. The accident occurred on Saturday night, police reported.

Shahbaz, the young victim from Balachaur in Nawanshahr, Punjab, was enjoying a family outing when the toy train's last compartment overturned, causing him severe head injuries. A CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced on social media, showing the moments before the tragic event.

Despite efforts to save him, Shahbaz succumbed to his injuries at the government medical college and hospital in Sector 32. His cousin, also on the train, escaped unhurt. Authorities have filed a case against the train operator and the mall's management under section 304-A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and have seized the toy train.
