Naresh Goyal Seeks Extension of Medical Bail in High Court

Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal has approached the Bombay High Court for an extension of his two-month interim medical bail. Initially granted due to medical reasons in May, Goyal's condition remains poor, and his wife recently passed away from cancer. The hearing is scheduled before the same judge who previously granted the bail.

In May, the high court granted Goyal interim bail for two months on medical grounds after his arrest in a money laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). At 75, Goyal's health is reportedly still poor, and he recently lost his wife to cancer.

The plea came up for hearing on Tuesday before Justice Manish Pitale. Justice Pitale directed to place Goyal's application before the single bench of Justice N J Jamadar, who had originally granted the interim bail. Goyal's lawyers, Aabad Ponda and Ameet Naik, will present the plea on Wednesday.
