Tensions Rise After Man's Stabbing Shakes Rajasthan Village

In Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district, Ghanshyam Prajapat was allegedly stabbed to death by Jai Singh and others, sparking local protests. Authorities struggled to restore order as residents blocked a major highway. The main suspect has been detained and is undergoing interrogation.

In a shocking incident, the tranquil village of Kherot in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district was shattered by the alleged stabbing of Ghanshyam Prajapat. According to police reports, the crime was committed late Monday by Jai Singh and multiple accomplices.

The brutal act ignited widespread outrage among locals, who blocked the Pratapgarh-Ratlam highway in protest. 'The body was shifted to the district hospital mortuary for a post-mortem,' said Deputy Superintendent of Police Heramb Joshi. Additional police forces have been deployed to quell the anger and maintain order.

Authorities confirmed that the main accused has been detained and is currently being interrogated. 'We have also successfully dispersed the highway blockade,' added DSP Joshi, as the investigation continues in full swing.
