Brick Kiln Owner Murder Sparks Clashes and Arson in Rajasthan

In a tragic turn of events in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district, a brick kiln owner was brutally murdered following a dispute over kiln dust, police reported on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old's family and enraged locals responded by igniting an eatery and a liquor store, blocking a highway, and hurling stones at law enforcement officers. This violent episode erupted late Monday evening in Kherot village, under the Kotwali police station jurisdiction.

According to DSP Herambh Joshi, Jaisingh Lalana, the dhaba owner and principal suspect, has been detained for questioning. The controversy originated from an argument between Ghanshyam Prajapat, the brick kiln owner, and Lalana over dust-related issues. The situation escalated when six individuals, including Lalana, allegedly assaulted and fatally stabbed Prajapat.

The assailants fled, prompting Prajapat's family to retaliate by setting the dhaba and a nearby liquor shop ablaze. Law enforcement has deployed additional forces to manage the unrest. Teams are actively pursuing the remaining suspects as the investigation unfolds.
