Karnataka CM Pledges Support to Family of Murdered Fan in Actor Darshan's Case

The parents of Renukaswamy, who was recently murdered, met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing investigation. They requested a government job for Renukaswamy's pregnant wife. Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and others stand accused in the murder, with sufficient evidence reportedly gathered against them.

The parents of Renukaswamy, recently murdered, met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday. They expressed satisfaction with the ongoing investigation and sought a government job for Renukaswamy's pregnant widow.

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and 16 others are accused in the murder. Renukaswamy reportedly sent obscene messages to Darshan’s friend Pavithra Gowda, prompting Darshan's alleged violent response. Renukaswamy’s body was discovered near a stormwater drain on June 9.

Darshan and the other suspects are in judicial custody. Evidence including CCTV footage reportedly places Darshan at the scene of the crime.
