Cybercrime Arrests: Mumbai Police Nab Five in Odisha

Mumbai Police have arrested five individuals in Odisha’s Bhadrak town in connection with a cybercrime case. These suspects were accused of defrauding Rs 35 lakh from Mumbai resident Moses Vincent. The arrests were made following a thorough investigation involving mobile tracking and raids, leading to their custody and upcoming transfer to Mumbai for further investigation.

Mumbai Police arrested five individuals in Bhadrak, Odisha, in connection with a cybercrime case, officials reported Monday.

The accused - Hariram Choudhury, Nirakar Das, Rabindra Kumar Behera, Amar Kumar Parida, and Anadi Kumar Parida - allegedly defrauded Moses Vincent of Rs 35 lakh. Two FIRs were lodged at Bandra police station regarding the case.

A five-member police team from Bandra utilized mobile tracking to locate the suspects and conducted successful raids with local police assistance. The suspects were presented before Bhadrak SDJM court and remanded to police custody for transfer to Mumbai for further investigation.
