In a chilling incident at Mangaluru jail, two undertrials were brutally attacked by fellow inmates on Monday. According to police, Topi Naufal and his gang targeted Muhammad Sameer and Muhammad Mansoor in a premeditated assault captured by the facility's CCTV cameras.

The attack, which occurred between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm, involved the use of sharp objects, tools that have frequently figured in the histories of both the attackers and the victims. Despite sustaining injuries to their heads, shoulders, and other parts of their bodies, Sameer and Mansoor are now out of danger and receiving treatment at Wenlock Hospital.

Authorities have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the incident, aiming to uncover the motive and exact circumstances around the violent clash.
