FSB Thwarts Attack on Russian Military Facility

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) reported the prevention of an attack on a military-industrial complex in the Samara region. A local resident, believed to be influenced by a pro-Ukraine group, was planning the attack using homemade incendiary devices. Legal action has been initiated against the suspect.

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said it had prevented an attack on a defence facility in the Samara region in southwest Russia, the RIA state news agency reported on Friday.

RIA cited the FSB as saying that a resident of Samara had prepared an attack on a "facility of the military-industrial complex" at the behest of a pro-Ukraine organisation. "In order to carry out the criminal plan, the suspect selected crime scenes, inspected them, and assembled homemade incendiary devices," RIA cited the FSB as saying.

It said a criminal case had been opened against the individual.
