Traders in Hisar observed a bandh on Friday, with shops and petrol pumps remaining closed in protest against the ongoing non-arrest of culprits involved in a recent shooting incident. Unidentified individuals had fired gunshots outside a car dealership and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore.

Following the firing, two showroom owners also received ransom demands of Rs 2 crore each. Alleging police inaction, traders criticized authorities for failing to arrest anyone even after 12 days.

Hisar District Bar Association President Viney Kumar Bishnoi announced lawyers' support for the bandh, while Petrol Pumps Association chief Raj Kumar Salemgarh confirmed that 15 petrol pumps remained closed. Over 70 market associations joined the protest, demanding immediate police action.
