NCC Cadets Praised for Nation-Building Efforts

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth lauded NCC cadets for their dedication to nation-building and unity in diversity. Seth interacted with cadets and officials during his visit and acknowledged the directorate's efforts in training and community development.

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth praised NCC cadets on Thursday, recognizing their 'selfless commitment' to nation-building and as symbols of unity in diversity. He urged them to remain dedicated as future leaders of the country.

Seth expressed confidence in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and its crucial role in shaping disciplined and patriotic citizens, according to a defence official. During his visit to the NCC Directorate West Bengal and Sikkim, Seth commended the directorate's initiatives in training, social welfare and community development across the two states.

The minister interacted with officers, instructors, associate NCC officers, and cadets at the NCC Institute. He was honoured with a joint services guard of honour by the Army, Air, and Naval wing cadets, the official reported. Major General Vivek Tyagi, Additional Director General of NCC in West Bengal and Sikkim, emphasized the cadets' achievements and briefed Seth on the directorate's challenges, including the need for NCC training academies in both states. Seth assured continuous support from the Ministry of Defence to address these needs, the official added.
